About Us

Windy’s Legacy Livestock Reproduction Services, LLC is committed to providing our clients with superior, customer- and patient-centered livestock reproduction options. Whether you wish to have your embryos collected at your farm or ours, you can be certain that your animals will be treated with the same care, respect, and attention to detail that we provide for our own. And while we can’t guarantee success, we do know that it is often the little things that make a big difference between a successful flush or pregnancy and one that doesn’t provide the desired results. Our commitment to providing individual attention to each animal, whether a donor, recipient, or newborn, sets us apart from the rest of the industry.

Andrea L. Loar, DVM is a 2014 graduate of Cornell School of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, NY. Prior to veterinary school, she was a veterinary technician, but also gained certification in bovine artificial insemination and embryo transfer. She and her husband, Bryan, started raising beef cattle in 2004, and many of the recipient cows they use today are direct descents of the heifers that they bought during their first years of farming. Dr. Loar manages the veterinary side of the business, performing embryo flushes, maintaining up-to-date health protocols for all animals on the farm, and overseeing the care of sick and newborn animals.

Bryan W. Loar, Herdsman, is a retired firefighter and full time farmer. Mr. Loar manages the day to day operations of the farm- caring for the herd, performing donor and recipient protocols, artificial insemination of donors, and providing care to newborn calves. His experience as an EMT has proved invaluable in recognizing and attending to problems, such as dystocia and neonatal emergencies, as they arise.
